Moncton, NB – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Simone Gauthier, age 78, announces her passing on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre.
Born in Notre-Dame-de-Kent, NB, Simone was the beloved wife of the late Roger Gauthier and daughter of the late Gérald Gauvin and the late Edith (LeBlanc) Gauvin.
Before her retirement, Simone worked at the Foyer Saint-Antoine, where she was known for her kindness and dedication.
She will be deeply missed by her son, Michel Gauthier (Kim Santerre) of Moncton; her cherished granddaughters, Maggie Gauthier and Mikayla Gauthier; her sister, Joanne Gauvin of Moncton; and her brothers, Raymond (Marie Mai) Gauvin and Fernand (Eva) Gauvin, both of Notre-Dame-de-Kent. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Simone is predeceased by her sister Dorainne and her brothers; Gerald, Yvon and Oscar.
Visitation will be at Passage-Chartersville Funeral Cooperative, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, 506-857-1901 on Saturday August 16 from 9h to 11h followed with a chapel service at 11h.
Interment will be at Saint-Antoine l’Ermite cemetery in Saint-Antoine-de-Kent.
In memory of Simone, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Simone was a childhood friend. Many great time were had. She will be missed by all who knew her. Have a safe journey home to heaven where we will all end up.
