Dieppe, N.-B. – Simonne Bernard, 84, passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
Simonne was kind, generous, funny at times! Was totally open about things. That’s what made her so funny. Wasn’t shy about anything she had to say. She loved her family dearly. Loved going shopping and going out to family gatherings and to visit her best friend, Diane.
She will be dearly missed.
Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Edouard and the late Théotiste Melanson (Gallant).
Simonne will be sadly missed by her daughter: Jeannette Jones (Danny) of Weisner; her sons: Ronald and Guy (Nathalie Poirier) both of Moncton; her sister: Thérèse Melanson (Cecile Goguen) of Dieppe; her sister-in-law: Cathy Melanson of Ontario; her five grandchildren and her eight great grandchildren; also by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband: Henrie LeBlanc; her second husband: Rhéal Bernard; her daughter: Lorraine; her stepmother: Rita Melanson; her sister: Antoinette Bourque (late Gerard) and her brothers: Paul (late Fay) and Raymond.
As per Simmone’s wishes, there will be no visits and no funeral. A graveside service will be held at Our Lady of Calvary in Dieppe a later date, where she will rest in peace with her daughter Lorraine.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.
