It is with a heavy heart that the family of Simonne Leclair-LeBlanc, wish to announce her passing on November 15, 2020 surrounded by her loved ones at the Moncton City Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Val d’Amour, NB, she lived in Dieppe. She was the daughter of the late Armand LeClaire and the late Rosanne (Savoie) LeClair.
Simonne was a graduate of the NB Teacher’s College in Fredericton, where she made lifelong friends. During her teaching career at the Apollo School and the King Street School, both in Campbellton, she brought her love of sharing and her kind gentle manner to her students.
She loved watching the sea birds and listening to the sound of the waves coming ashore at the cottage in McLeod, NB and also in Florida, where she and her husband spent many winters.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Louis LeBlanc. Predeceased by their infant daughter, Monike (1974) and by their infant son, Eric (1976).
She is also survived by her sister Françoise (late Clément) Lagacé of Campbellton and brother, Norbert (Aurélie) Johnson of Val d’Amour. She was pre-deceased by her sister Marie-Reine Perron (late Henry) and her brother Jean-Paul LeClair.
She also leaves to mourn, her many nieces and nephews as well as her husband’s four brothers and six sisters.
Due to COVID-19, a celebration of life will be held, in Dieppe, NB, in the spring of 2021. Arrangements are entrusted to Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault, Dieppe, NB.
Donations to Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation or the tree of Hope-CHU Dumont Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.

C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous désirons vous faire part du décès de Simonne Leclair-LeBlanc entourée de sa famille, le 15 novembre 2020 à l’Hôpital de Moncton. Simonne est partie paisiblement après une courageuse lute contre le cancer.
Née à Val d’Amour, N.-B., elle demeurait à Dieppe, N.-B. Elle était la fille de feu Armand LeClair et Feu Rosanne (Savoie) LeClair.
Simonne était diplômée de l’école Normale de Fredericton ou elle s’est fait de nombreux amis et amies pour la vie. Durant sa carrière d’enseignante à l’école Apollo et à l’école King à Campbellton, elle a enrichi la vie de nombreux élèves.
Simonne aimait particulièrement écouter le chant des oiseaux et de la mer. Elle partageait cet amour avec Louis pendant leurs nombreux hivers en Floride ainsi qu’à leur chalet situé à McLeod au N.-B.
Elle laisse dans le deuil, aprè 50 ans de mariage, son mari d’amour, Louis LeBlanc. Décédés peu aprè la naissance, deux enfants l’ont précédé, Monica en 1974 et Éric en 1976.
Elle laisse aussi dans le deuil sa sœur, Françoise (Feu Clément lagacé) de Campbellton et son frère Norbert (Aurélie) Johnson de Val d’Amour, plusieurs neveux et nièces ainsi que les quatre frères et six sœurs de son mari Louis LeBlanc. L’ont précédé dans la tombe, sa sœur Marie-Reine Perron (Henry) et son frère, Jean-Paul LeClair.
La direction des funérailles a été confiée à la Maison funéraire Chartersville de Dieppe, N.-B. En raison de la COVID-19, une célébration de vie aura lieu au printemps 2021 à Dieppe.
