Sophie Basque, 90, of Bouctouche, has passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday January 31, 2017. She was married to the late Adelard Basque (2011). Born in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late François and the late Rosalie (Nowlan) Basque.
She will be sadly missed by her six children; Gisèle Basque, Arcade (Laura), Paul-Emile (Diane), Gilles, André all of Bouctouche and Rodrigue (Verena) of Blackville, twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn one sister Marie Maillet (Laurie) of Bouctouche and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one daughter Andréa and three brothers; Edvard, Raymond and Aubrey.
At per the request of the family, there will be no visitations at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Tuesday February 7, 2017 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
