Moncton, NB – Sophie Volgmann, 82, wife of the late Manfred Volgmann, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at The Moncton Hospital, Moncton, NB.

Born in Elmsville, NB, Sophie was a kind, gentle, loving person who cared deeply for family and friends.

She loved to cook for her family and friends. She made many trips to Montréal to visit St Joseph Oratory, while visiting her son and her many friends.

Sophie is survived by her son, Ernest Volgmann of Montréal, QC; her daughter, Karen Volgmann (Tony) of Kingston, NB; her two grandsons, (second son) Anthony Volgmann of Moncton, NB and Christopher Volgmann (Kaitlin & Alex) of Hampton, NB; her two brother, Joe Gionet (Cecilia) of Sussex, NB and Presley Gionet (Augustine) of Bathurst, NB; as well as many cousins, nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held at Notre-Dame de Fatima RC Church (300 Collette Road, Collette, NB), on Monday, June 11th, 2018 from 2:00pm until time of funeral mass at 3:00pm.

Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
