Stanis LeBlanc, 88, of Dieppe, NB, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Thursday, January 24th, 2013 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center.
Born in Beaumont, NB, he was the son of the late Fidèle and the late Emma (née: Bourque) LeBlanc.
Mr. LeBlanc retired from Armour Transport having previously worked at City Chrysler Plymouth. He was a member of Club d’Âge d’Or de Dieppe, Pré-d’En-Haut and Sainte-Thérèse Parish.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Hélène (née: Bourgeois) of Dieppe; three sons: Lionel (Joanne) of Dieppe, Raymond (Phyllis) of Pré-d’En-Haut and Clarence of Dieppe; three grandchildren: Patrick, Nathalie and Justin, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers: Ernest, Irenée and Robert.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also Monday from 9:30 am until time of departure.
Funeral mass will be celebrated from Sainte-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB, on Monday, January 28th, 2013 at 10:30 am.
Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
A donation to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation "Oncology" would be appreciated by the family.

Entouré de sa famille, au Centre hospitalier universitaire Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont de Moncton, le jeudi 24 janvier 2013, à l’âge de 88 ans, après une courageuse lutte contre le cancer, est décédé Stanis LeBlanc. Il demeurait à Dieppe, N.-B.
Né à Beaumont, N.-B., il était fils de feu Fidèle et de feu Emma (née Bourque) LeBlanc.
M. LeBlanc avait prit sa retraite de Armour Transport et auparavant avait travaillé chez City Chrysler Plymouth. Il était un membre du Club d’Âge d’Or de Dieppe, Pré-d’En-Haut et de la paroisse Sainte-Thérèse.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse de 59 ans, Hélène (née Bourgeois) de Dieppe; trois fils: Lionel (Joanne) de Dieppe, Raymond (Phyllis) de Pré-d’En-Haut et Clarence de Dieppe; trois petits-enfants: Patrick, Nathalie et Justin, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Il était le dernier survivant de sa famille immédiate.
Outre ses parents, trois frères: Ernest, Irenée et Robert l’ont précédé dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B., (857-1901) le dimanche de 14h à 16h et 19h à 21h et le lundi de 9:30 jusqu’à l’heure du départ pour les funérailles.
Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Sainte-Thérèse, Dieppe, N.-B., le lundi 28 janvier 2013 à 10h 30.
L’inhumation se fera au cimetière Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire, Dieppe, N.-B.
Un don à la fondation Hôpital Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont « Oncologie », serait apprécié par la famille.
La famille aimerait accorder un remerciement spécial aux médecins et employés du département d’oncologie, 3-C et aux soins palliatifs du Centre hospitalier Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont.
