Stella Bastarache, 77, of Notre-Dame, passed away after a lengthy illness at the Dr Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Thursday March 8th, 2007. She was the wife of Francois Bastarache of Notre-Dame. Born in Sainte-Anne de Kent on July 26, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Hector and the late Luce (née Thibodeau) Richard.
Stella is survived by her husband Francois, one daughter; Francine Kapalko of Moncton, one son; Maurice (Gloria) of Notre-Dame, two brothers; Antoine of Dieppe, Camille (Margaret) of Rolligdam, NB, four grandchildren; Conrad, Faith, Mélanie, Gino and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one sister; Bertha and two brothers; Zoel, and Arsène.
Visitation will be held at the Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church slumber room, Notre-Dame on Sunday March 11th, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and Monday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday March 12th, 2007 at the Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur Church Notre-Dame at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
