In Loving Memory Of
Steven Amolik
1974 ~ 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven Amolik, age 50, on Monday, June 17th, 2024, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center in Moncton. His departure comes as a shock, and it is gravely felt by the entire family and countless others who loved him deeply.

Steven was born in India to Prasanna and Subhakti Amolik. He moved to the US for adventure and studies then eventually to Canada once he met his soul mate. From his countless stories, he made the most of adapting to new environments and meeting new friends and accomplices in his projects and volunteering through his many years of work with Rogers.

He first met his loving wife Josianne in Bangor, Maine in 2004. Their love for each other was evident from the early days. Jayden, his son, and Aarya, his daughter, along with Josianne were his entire world. His family gave him strength during the rough times and laughter and joy all the time. He was so proud of his kids and one day they will be privileged to hear all his funny stories from his beloved family and friends.

Always smiling ear to ear, Steven loved to pass his happiness and positivity onto others. Whether it was by offering you some of the best home cooked Indian dishes or by giving you advice on anything you may have been going through. You would always leave his side with such a positive outlook on life.

On weekends you could find Steven spending time with his wife and kids. Whether they were having a movie night, gaming or watching cricket they were always by each other’s side. They also loved to go camping, and on road trips with a pit stop to a beach for a picnic along the way.

Steven will be sadly missed by his loving wife Josianne; their children: Jayden and Aarya; as well as his siblings and family: Merav, Avidada, Vivekdada, Choti Tai, Aai Kama, his many cousins and close friends.

In respect to the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service held at this time.

  11. Steve my friend I will miss you dearly. You were such an amazing person with an infectious smile, Your clever witt and hilarious sense of humor. My heart breaks imagining the challenges ahead for Josianne, Jayden and Aarya moving on without you. You were one of a kind, and a true gem of a person in this world. I thank you for your friendship until we meet again.

  12. Firstly, Josianne, Jayden and Aarya I am so sorry for your loss.
I can’t really say anything that hasn’t already been said in this write up.
I met Steven through work about six years ago, and we hit it off right away.
Like everyone’s been saying, he was always in a good mood with a smile on his face, and was always fun to be around.
When he wasn’t laughing and joking with you, he was always willing to help and give you advice if you had any issues inside work or out.
This past Thanksgiving, I had the pleasure of meeting his family who he was always talking about.
The stories and jokes he shared I’ll be telling for the rest of my life.
We’re all going to miss you buddy.

  13. I was devastated at the news of Steve’s passing. I only met him a handful of times but feel like we were old friends – that’s how he was. Open. Happy. Caring. I am honoured to have known him. I will always picture him and Josianne singing an Indian love song to each other at karaoke night. Enduring image of two people very much in love. I send my sincerest condolences to you all. Take care of each other.
