Susan Elizabeth Bérubé

Shediac, NB – Susan Elizabeth Bérubé, 70, passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, September 25, 2017, after a brief illness.

Born in Southgate, England, she was the daughter of the late Dennis Michael and Mary (Piper) Andrews.

Worked in the UK in medical administration until emigrating to Canada in 1973. Lived and worked in Toronto in various fields. During this period, she met her husband, Al. They married in 1978 and moved to Alberta. Sue worked in school business administration for 12 years before moving west to Vancouver Island in 1990 and on the Island, she held a variety of jobs. Before retiring in 2009 she owned and operated a mobile aesthetics spa. Following their retirement Sue and Al moved back to Al’s home in eastern New Brunswick. Over the years Sue did a variety of volunteer work, community policing, food bank, fund raising for Haiti, ELF Grade 2 reading improvement program and most recently the Shediac Cape Community Garden.

Susan will be sadly missed by her husband, Albert; her three brothers, John (Sheila), Michael (late Jean) and James all of England; also by several cousins and nieces.

In respect to Susan’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Celebration of Life will be held at St. Martin’ s-in-the-Woods Anglican Church in Shediac Cape on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 11 am. A reception will follow at the Young Smith Hall.

The family would like to thank all those who have been so supportive during the past month and a special “thank you” to the medical staff on the third and fourth floors of the Georges-L Dumont Hospital.
