Dieppe, N.-B. – It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Suzanne Bourque (Fradette) who passed away on September 3, 2022 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her husband, William R. Bourque in 1995, and her daughter, Joanne Bourque in 1974.

She is survived by her siblings: Annette Boutin, Gabrielle Bérubé, and Roland Fradette; her children:  Hélène Bourque, Carole Hall (Jamie), Marc Bourque, and Linda Bourque-Gaudet(Bill); her grandchildren Raymond Malcolm(Krystle), Michael Malcolm (Kelcey), Sean Ross (Stephanie), Brian Ross, Peter Bourque, Philip Bourque; and her great grandchildren Lexi Ross and Emmett Ross; and step-grandson Beau Ayers.

She was predeceased by her parents: Napoléon Fradette and Claudia (Morin) and several siblings: Roselia, Maria, Délina, Joseph, Yvonne, Lucienne, Paul, Irène, Marie-Jeanne, Adrienne, Wilfred, Armand, Léon, Hervé, Simonne and Cécile. Yes, it’s true, Napoléon and Claudia had 20 children and Mom was the 19th.

Mom joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1955 and served as a nursing assistant at CFB Goose Bay, where she met Dad before they were married and moved to Moncton in 1957.  Mom was a member of the Catholic Women’s League in Lakeburn for over 50 years and loved doing crafts, sewing, playing cards, bowling, broomball, travelling with friends and family. and volunteering in the community.  She also loved the outdoors, gardening, golfing, cross country skiing and taking long walks with us as children and was known for playing softball with her children and their friends in the neighbourhood.

Mom will be deeply missed by all of us who were blessed to have been a part of her life.

A small private funeral ceremony with Father Arthur Bourgeois will be held at a later date, at the Passage-Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault St. in Dieppe NB. (506) 857-1901
