Moncton, NB – It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Sylvia Marion Ashe on July 18, 2023.
Born in Moncton, NB on June 4, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Gladys (Jones) Lutes.
Sylvia is survived by one son, Kevin Ashe (Brigitte); one daughter, Dianna Ashe (Rick Kosonic); 3 grandchildren, Alycia, Sophie and Thomas; her sister Carole; brothers, Earle and Gerry; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Rodney Ashe, her grandson, Ryan Rodney Ashe, her sister Patricia Lutes and her foster-brother, Darryl Wells.
Sylvia was a thoughtful person who carried a camera to every family event to ensure that there was evidence of the gathering. She had worked as a bookkeeper at Coop Atlantic until she retired following an illness. In retirement, she kept busy volunteering at the Peter McKee Centre as well as on the executive of Golden Terraces Senior Coop Housing.
Visitations will be held at Passage-Chartersville (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe) on Friday, August 4th, 2023 from 1:00pm until time of the funeral service at the Chapel at 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Sylvia, a donation to the Uplands United Baptist Church, Robert McKee’s Food Centre or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
The family invites you to sign an online book of condolences at: www.funerairepassagefuneral.ca.

Because I feel that, in the Heavens above,
The angels, whispering to one another,
Can find, among their burning terms of love,
None so devotional as that of ‘Mother’ …
