Moncton, NB – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thérèse LeBlanc, 83, on Sunday, July 9th, 2023.
For most of her life, Thérèse really had two families. She was the daughter of the late Edmond King and the late Yvonne Arsenault however at a very young age she went to live with the late Honoré and the late Marianne LeBlanc (Lavoie) and their family.
As Omer’s father was Honoré and Marianne’s son, Omer often joked that he married his aunt and his grandfather’s daughter.
After 62 years of marriage Thérèse will be greatly missed by her loving husband Omer as well as by her sister, Rita King-Belliveau, her brothers Paul (Madelaine) King and Fred (late Donna) King and by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two infant siblings, Cecile and Henri as well as by her seven foster siblings in the LeBlanc family.
Thérèse was a quiet and kind person who enjoyed visiting with friends, reading and completing word puzzles. She was a very devoted wife to her husband Omer whom she spoiled as she always insisted that the cooking, cleaning and especially doing the dishes was her responsibility. Omer obviously always agreed with her.
Together, either as part of his Air Force career and later on in their RV, they enjoyed visiting friends as well as exploring many parts of Canada, the United States and Europe.
Thérèse also leaves behind a number of precious and treasured friends. Apart from her family members, she enjoyed spending time with relatives Priscilla Clark, Robert Cormier and his sister Linda Ward and her lifelong friends the Bernard sisters.
Both Thérèse and Omer were very touched and grateful to all family members, good friends and neighbors who reached out to them to offer their love and support during Thérèse’s illness.
Deepest appreciation to Lisa Maillet and Jean-Guy LeBlanc for their friendship and for being there for them in so many ways during these difficult times.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, July 18th, 2023 at Passage-Chartersville (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe) from 2:00pm until 3:30pm. Funeral service will take place in the chapel at 3:45pm, followed by a reception.

(Jean 14:2)
Bon courage durant ce temps difficile.oxo
