Grande-Digue, NB – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thérèse Breau, 89, on February 10th, 2025, at the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.

Born in Grande-Digue, NB, she was the daughter of the late Emery Arsenault and the late Léa (Hébert) Arsenault.

 She was a member of Institut féminin of Grande-Digue and also a member of Club 50+ of Grande-Digue.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Diane (Ernie) Bourque of Grande-Digue and Annette (Ronald) LeBlanc of Saint-Thomas-de-Kent; by her sons: Donald (Jeannette) Breau of Saint-Marie-de-Kent, Maurice Breau of Grande-Digue and Paul (Jocelyne) Breau of Summerside, PEI; by her brothers: Adrien (Denise) Arsenault of Saint-Thomas-de-Kent, and Roger (late Elma) Arsenault of Moncton; by her sisters: Celia (late Alain) Boudreau of Dieppe, Lilianne (late Camille) Poirier of Shediac, Hélène (Rose) Arsenault of Shediac, and Angéla (Victor) Richard of Moncton; by her grandchildren: Marc, Junior, Stéphane, Chantale, Lyne, Christopher, and Amanda; by her great-grandchildren: Monica, Mélanie, Mathieu, Bruno, Zachary, Zoé, Mia, Jaseme, and Calid; by her great-great grandson, Noah; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

 She was predeceased by her loving husband, Désiré Breau as well as her brother, Léo Arsenault.

Visitation will be held at Passage (3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge) on Thursday, February 20th, 2025, from 2pm to 4pm and from 6pm to 8pm only. Funeral service will be held at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Friday, February 21st at 11am.

In Thérèse’s memory, a donation can be made to Pépère Boîte à Lunch or Canadian Lung Association.

    I will always remember ma tante Therese for having a big smile and being so kind to me. From a young age when living across from them and even on the few times I saw her as an adult, I have very fond memories. She was well liked and loved by allot of people in her community.

  32. Thérèse avait toujours un beau sourire. C’étais toujours plaisant de la rencontrer. Elle sera toujours avec vous dans vos coeur et souvenir. J`àurais bien aimé àller lui dire un dernier bonjour, mais j`ais à l`hôpital en même temps qu`elle et demeurer hospitaliser un certain temps.
