It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Thérèse Landry-Martin, at the Résidence Faubourg du Mascaret in Moncton, on September 3, 2022, at the age of 73. Born in Moncton in 1949, she was the daughter of the late Léo J. and Eva (Léger) Landry.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Guy A. Martin; her daughter, Guylaine (Philip Paradis); her granddaughters: Chloé and Ève; her sister, Claudette (late Maurice Cormier); her brother, René (Janice Richard); many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Dr. Léo-Paul (late Rolande Goguen) and her sister, Murielle (late François Thibodeau).
A proud graduate of the Université de Moncton, and past president of the Université de Moncton AlUMni Association, Thérèse dedicated her career to improving mental health care for the people of New Brunswick. As a psychologist, she served as a mental health program manager with the Government of New Brunswick and provided service to New Brunswickers in need through her private practice. Earlier in her career, she was also a founding member and President of the Atlantic College and University Student Services Association. Thérèse was known for her listening skills, diplomacy, finesse and helpfulness. She had a passion for travel and had the good fortune to visit many countries with her family and friends.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of Le Faubourg du Mascaret for the excellent care given to Thérèse during her stay in residence.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to La Coopérative Funéraire Passage at 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, (506.857-1901) from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 4:00 pm. Visiting hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2022. Wearing a mask is strongly recommended.
In Thérèse’s memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick, the Canadian Mental Health Association of New Brunswick, or the Aplastic Anaemia and Myelodysplasia Association of Canada.

Your vision, of a Crisis Intervention Center, brought us all together. I admired you so much then in 1990. You make a mark on my heart . Thank you Therese for always saying that my “non verbal’s” were too STRONG! wow imagine NOW!
Therese was an inspiration to all who joined her in the journey to create the Crisis Intervention Center in Moncton New Brunswick in !990 . I was one who had the amazing pleasure to have worked on that original team from conception. Therese was always inspiring to me and as our team. Therese believe in us and we made the CRISIS INTERVENTION CENTER in Moncton N.B a “model” of community intervention for the mentally ill.
In my heart Therese you are remembered so fondly, as such a kind soul.
