Moncton, NB – Thérèse LeBlanc, 94, of Moncton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Faubourg du Mascaret in Moncton, on Monday, October 17th, 2022.
Born in Saint-Joseph-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Dina (Cormier) Maillet.
Besides being a full-time mom to 4 boys, Thérèse worked as a hairdresser after receiving her hairdresser’s certification in 1973 at the age of 45. She then opened a salon in her home in Moncton. Earlier on in life she worked in a chocolate factory in Toronto and then returned to work as the first female taxi driver in her hometown Bouctouche.
She will be sadly missed by her three sons: Jean-Claude LeBlanc (Rachel Roy) of Dieppe, Michel LeBlanc (Sherry Thompson) of Moncton and Léonce LeBlanc (Lisa Bourque) of Dieppe; her grandchildren: Pascale (Gabriel), Gabriel, Nicolas, Chantal, Isabelle and Chrystal Bradley; her great grandchildren: Coralie, Caleb, Charles and Cédric; her brothers: Albéo (Dorine) of Bouctouche and André (late Béatrice) of Waltham, Mass; her sister: Marie Smith (late Wendell) of Riverview; her sister-in-law: Janita of Bouctouche; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents; she was predeceased by her first husband: Yvon Léger (1950); her second husband: Gérard LeBlanc (1977); her son: Raoul LeBlanc (1995); her sisters: Noëlla (1956), Marguerite (1971), Rita (1992); her brothers: Ti-Aurèle, Gérard (2000), Alphonse (2004), Hervé (2008), Aurèle (2018), Yvon (2022).
FACE MASKS ARE MANDATORY AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
Visitations will be held at Passage-Chartersville, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB E1A 1G1, 506.857.1901, on Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 7pm to 9pm and on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 2pm until time of celebration of life at the chapel at 4pm.
In Thérèse’s memory, a donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, SIDA/Aids Moncton or to a charity of your choice.

Sincere condolences at the passing of Therese. My late wife, Rachel Ryder along with myself and family members remember Therese as a kind, loving and helpful friend. Therese made Rachel’s stay at Fauborg du Mascaret much more enjoyable with her great sense of humor and friendship.
