Thérèse Babineau, 80, of Dieppe, passed away on Wednesday, July 5th, 2006 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB.
Born in Campbellton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Gustave and the late Lodia (née: Desroches) Duguay.
Mrs. Babineau had been a volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society and a former parishioner of Cathédrale L’Assomption.
She is survived by four daughters: Jacqueline Oiselle of Montréal, Louise (Ernest) Thomas of Pte-à-la-Croix, QC, Germaine Savoie of Campbellton and Corinne (Yvon) Boudreau of Dalhousie; three sons: Johnny Oiselle of Campbellton, Ernest (Lise) Oiselle of Montréal and Jean-Claude (Michelle St-Pierre) Babineau of Dieppe; 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her 1st husband, Joe Oiselle in 1958 and by her 2nd husband, Simon Babineau in 1992; one daughter, Yvonne; seven sisters: Lydia, Marie-Anne, Eleonore, Josephine, Elizabeth, Rita and Georgina; four brothers: Gustave, Camille, Francis and Charles as well as several other siblings at a young age.
Visitation will be held from Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901 on Thursday, July 6th, 2006 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Friday from 2 pm until time of service. Funeral service will be celebrated at the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 7th, 2006 at 3 pm. Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
