Shediac, NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ulysse Bourque, 87, of Villa Providence, Shediac, on Wednesday, January 14th, 2026.
Born in Scoudouc, NB, he was the son of the late Arthur and the late Bertha (Belliveau) Bourque.
Prior to his retirement, he had worked in sales for Daigle Lumber.
He is survived by his son, Victor Bourque (Rachelle) of Shediac; by his grandson, Remi (Camille); by his great grandson, Dominic; by his sister, Yvette Cormier (George) of Shediac; by his sister-in-law, Linda Bourque of Shediac; by the extended Melanson family, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by is wife, Zita (Melanson) Bourque in 2025 and by his brothers: Alonzo, Vincent, Arthur and Yvon.
Visitation will be held from Passage, 3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge, NB, (506) 532-1050, on Monday, January 19th, 2026, from 7 to 9 pm and also, on Tuesday, January 20th, 2026, from 2 pm to 3:50 pm, followed by the service in the chapel at 4 pm.
Burial will take place in Passage Columbarium, Shediac Bridge, NB.
In Ulysse’s memory, a donation can be made to the Maison Albert Hospice or Providence Foundation.
