Moncton – Urbain LeBlanc, 84, passed away peacefully at the palliative care unit of the Dr. Georges-L-.Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, September 29th, 2011.
 
Born in Belle-Côte, NS on April 26, 1927, he was the son of the late Laurent and Lucy (Delaney) LeBlanc.
 
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years, Joan Marie; his daughter, Monique Richardson of Woodstock, NB; his three sons, Marcel of Moncton, Camille (Shannon) of Bedford, NS  and Lawrence (Paula) of Charlottetown, PEI; his six grandchildren, Danielle, Matthew, Patrick, Kathryn, Michael and Monica; also by several nieces and nephews.
 
He was predeceased by one daughter, Lucie Calixta, nine brothers and sisters, Louis, Mary Stella, Loretta, Cécile Aurora, Emile, Léonard, Marguerite, Eugène and Aurora.
 
Visitations will be held at Passage in Moncton (625 Mountain Rd) on Sunday, October 2nd, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. No visitation on Monday. Funeral service will be at the St. Bernard’s RC Church in Moncton (43 Botsford St.) on Monday, October 3rd at 11am. Interment to follow at the St. Michael’s Church cemetery in Margaree, NS.
 
Special thanks to the nurses at the Palliative Care Unit and to Valerie and Ron Higgins.
 
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
