In Loving Memory Of
Vénolia Leger
1931 - 2022

Moncton – Vénolia Leger, 91 of Moncton passed away on May 28th, at the Albert House SENB of Moncton after a battle with cancer.

Born in MacDougall’s Settlement, she was the daughter of the late Georges and Argentina (Blanchard) Fontaine.

She loved to write and kept a daily journal for the last 35+ years right up until the day she was hospitalized in March. She loved to play bingo, play cards, read, do puzzles and watch her favorite TV shows. She loved to travel and go for drives and always looked forward to summer months to go to yard sales. She loved her family very much and would always look forward to their visits and telephone calls.

She will be very sadly missed by her daughter Linda (Jayme) of Dieppe, her sons Francis (Bernice) of Moncton and Bernard (Anita) of Dieppe; her four grandchildren: Lisa, Michael (Carmen), Keith and Alyssa; her step-grandchildren: Steven (Diana) and Jennifer (CJ) and Taylor; her great-grandchildren: James, Curtis (Jamie) and Robyn and a great-great grand-daughter Mya expected later this month; her sisters: Patricia (late Ron) Vallant of Calgary, Bernice (late Leo) Poirier of St. Louis and her brother Roger (late Simone) of Hanmer, Ontario; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years Joseph in 2005, a sister Yolande (late Valmond), a brother Donald (Claudette), a grandson Christopher and a grand-daughter Rachelle.

In respecting her wishes, no visitation or funeral service will be held.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Centre (3F) and the Albert House SENB of Moncton for their compassion and excellent care given during her illness and to Louise Boissonneault for her daily visits and prayers at the hospital.

    I don’t know if you remember me, but I worked at the y and I think this is we’re I met you and your mom. I know we would see each other several times and your mom was a great woman with such a beautiful smile. I am sending you my deepest sympathies to you and your family. Sending you lots of prayers and may she Rest In Peace.
