Viola LeBlanc, 98 of Résidence Notre-Dame du Sacré-Cœur, Dieppe and formerly of Saint-Paul, passed away peacefully at the Dr Georges L Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton on Monday October 15th, 2012. She was married to the late Henri LeBlanc (1977). Born in Saint-Paul on December 7th, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Luc and the late Elise (Johnson) Cormier.
Losing her mother at a young age, she brought up her nine siblings. The youngest one becoming adult, Viola married and had a family of her own. Being an optimist, courageous and a believing woman, she was loved by everyone and had the gift of being serene. She occupied the position of Post master in Saint-Paul for 30 years.
She will be sadly missed by her four children; Carmen LeBlanc (André Goguen) of Bouctouche Bay, Mariette LeBlanc (Paul-Emile) of Moncton, Roger (Alberta) and Richard of Saint-Paul, twelve grandchildren; Henri, Marc, Eric, Denis, Luc, Mélanie, Gabriel, Renée-France, Pierre, Maryse, Stéfanie, Danielle and four great grandchildren; Jacob, Alexis, Mylène and Mira. She also leaves to mourn one brother Roger (Germaine) of Moncton and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Imelda, Sr Ida, Marie and six brothers, Clorice, Aurèle, Évariste, Prémélite and Wilbrod.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Paul de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room on Wednesday October 17th, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Thursday from 1 to 2:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Paul Church on Thursday October 18th, 2012 at 3:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
