Moncton, NB – Violet Goguen, 51, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly after a car accident on Route 11 near Cocagne, on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of Daniel Veaneau and Jeannine Goguen.
Violet will be sadly missed by her parents; her daughters: Josie Quenneville (Sylvain Deschamps) of Montreal, Sarah Quenneville of Alexandria, ON, Laura Crossman of Bouctouche, Donna Crossman (Zack) of Moncton and Ashley Crossman of Dieppe; her three grandchildren: Koda, Milah and Alice; her brother: Michael “Mike” Goguen of Moncton; her half-sisters: Nancy V. Smith of Saint-Antoine, and Jocelyne Duguay; her nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road, Moncton, NB, on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 1pm to 1:45pm, followed by a celebration of life at the chapel at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to any type of animal rescue organisation.

Jeannine & family! I am beyond sorry to hear of the passing of Violet, she truly was amazing. She was a light to everyone that had a chance to know her. She will be missed. Sending prayers of strength.
RIP My beloved Niece Violet Goguen. Violet was a kind, loving,caring person. She is dearly missed. My sincere simpathy to my Sister Jeannine also to Mike (her brother) Violet’s precious 5 daughters, Todd Lewis (her love, her friend) & to all those who loved Violet (there are many). “Till we meet again Violet”.
Dear Jeannine and Mike , I only met Violet in person once and never forgot her. She had that type of personality. I am so deeply grateful for her to have been that sweet daughter and sister in your lives. May she rest in peace until we are all reunited.

I remember the first time I saw you, my cousin. I was 8 years old and you were just a baby. The first baby I ever got to spoon feed lol. We called you Peewee ❤️ and you were such a pretty baby. I remember when your mom moved 5 doors down from us in Toronto and me and Jamie would always come to get you and little Michael to take you guys to the park. Being a mom myself I realize now that your mom enjoyed those little breaks. But I felt so trusted by her to be able to “babysit” you. The last time I saw you was when you had your baby, Josie, and you both stayed with me for a few days. I remember cradling your baby in my arms while you made us kraft dinner. I was sad when you left. And now days turned into years, and we lost touch. It happens. And that’s okay. You deserved better than this ending. But I know in my heart that you are not suffering in this life anymore. My heart felt condolences to auntie Jeanine and Michael. God speed Violet.

I was extremely sorry to hear of Violets tragic passing. I knew Violet from years ago when I used to live in Moncton. We had some good times and laughs hanging at Wize Guyz and Keglers she was always the life of the party and had a wicked sense of humour, she was also compassionate and had your back.
