Vital Caissie, 73, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday January 4, 2017 at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the Ernest and the late Yvonne (Collette) Caissie.
He will be sadly missed by his three children; Rita Caissie (Charles Lacenaire) of Dixon Point, Vincent (Annette) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Jean of Harcourt, six grandchildren; Amy, Shawn, Travis, Alexander, Andrew and Alisha as well as several great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn five sisters; Jeannita Gautreau (Mike) of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, Anne-Marie Brun of Shediac, Yvonne Benoit of Bouctouche, Aline McLaughlin (Ernest Cormier) of Saint-Antoine, Diane Caissie (Steve Lane) of Moncton, two brothers: Henri (Jean) of Saint-Antoine, Lionel of Bouctouche and several nephews and nieces.
Vital was predeceased by one brother Albert (2009).
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de L’église, Bouctouche on Monday January 9, 2017 from 2 to 4:00 pm. Funeral Service will be celebrated at the Funeral Home on Monday January 9 2017 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
