Wayne Holgate
1959 ~ 2022

Bouctouche, NB – Wayne Holgate, 63, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side, on Saturday, July 2, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer.

Born in Cowansville, QC, he was the son of the late Douglas and Joyce Holgate (Lavery).

Wayne’s hobbies were to ride his motorcycle, travel and to help the less fortunate.

In addition to his mother, Wayne will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 17 years: Murielle Bernard; his children: Jason of Montreal and Sabrina Holgate (George) of Oakville, ON; his granddaughter: Ava; his siblings: Mark of Mississauga, ON, Peter (Anna) of Toronto, ON, Melissa Clarke (Craig) of Dundalk, ON and Karen Ludlow (Jeff) of Mississauga, ON; his parents-in-law: Irois and Denise Bernard (Boucher) of Saint-Grégoire; his brother-in-law: Brian Bernard (Janice Allain) of Moncton; also by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge, NB (506-532-1050), on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 7pm. Burial will be held in Saint-Antoine-Padoue RC Cemetery in Richibouctou-Village at a later date this summer.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to The Humanity Project in Moncton https://thehumanityproject.ca/ or to a charity of your choice.

A special thanks to the staff at the Shediac Extra-Mural Program and also to Andréa Thibodeau working for “La résidence du Havre” for they’re compassionate care and attention.
