Wilfred Arseneau

Moncton – Wilfred Arseneau, 80, passed away at the Moncton City Hospital on Sunday, October 23rd, 2011.
Born in Rogersville on July 2, 1931, he was the son of the late Abel and Céleste (Benoit) Arseneau.
Fred served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 33 years and retired as a Master Warrant Officer, followed by 10 years in the Public Service. Fred cherished the time he spent with his family. He was an avid curler at the Beaver Curling Club, a member of the Air Force Veterans Club and he attended Holy Family Parish Church.
Fred will be sadly missed by his wife of fifty-five years, Catherine (Benoit) Arseneau ; his two sons, Roger (Glenda) of Cold Lake, AB, Paul (Kelly-Ann) of Lower Sackville, NS; his two daughters, Carole Main (Ron) of Dartmouth, NS, Claudette Smith (John) of Moncton;  his brother, Gilles (Ann-Marie) of Rogersville; his two sisters, Simone Collister (late John) of Orleans, ON, Glorine Caissie (Richard) of Rogersville; his five grandchildren, Melissa, Tara, Courtney, Alex, Megan; three sisters-in-law, Lucille, Ann, Marcella; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers, Omer, Elzéar, Ronaldo, Claude, one sister,
Eva (late Bob) and one sister-in-law, Réjeanne.
Visitations will be held at Passage, 625 Mountain Rd, Moncton on Wednesday, October 26th from 7 to 9 pm and on Thursday, October 27th from 11:30 am till time of funeral. Funeral service will be held at Passage Chapel on Thursday, October 27th at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
