Yvon A. Pellerin
1937 ~ 2020
Belle River, ON – Formerly of Shediac, NB, Yvon A. Pellerin passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre on Wednesday, September 9th, 2020.
Born in Shediac, NB, he was the son of Edouard and Jeanne Pellerin (born Richard).
Yvon was a long-time employee of Champion Spark Plug Co., where he made many lasting friendships. He enjoyed many sports, including golf, hockey, which he played for many years, as well as being an avid football fan, cheering for his New England Patriots.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ann Pellerin (born Boleyn); his sons, André Pellerin and Richard Pellerin (Mary); his grandchildren, Stephanie Ruggaber (Brendan), Emillie (Alec), Marc André and Ryan James; his brothers, Edgar Pellerin (Lorette), Hector Pellerin (Florine), Nap Pellerin (Susan) and Robert Pellerin (Joan).
Yvon was predeceased by Eddie (Alma), Francie, Leo (Margaret), Anna (Reg) Roy and Barbara (Gerry) Boudreau.
Our Lady of Mercy was near and dear to Yvon. Working the many Church breakfasts is something he really enjoyed, as well as being the chairperson of the Parish Council and Grand Knight of the K of C Council 8431. It is ironic that he should be buried from the Lady of Mercy as he no longer resides in NB.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Mercy RC Church, on Saturday, September 12th, 2020, from 9:30am until time of the Funeral service at the Church at 11:30am.
Everyone attending the visitation and the Funeral service will be mandated to wear a face mask. Please bring your own.
Even thought his stay was brief, we the family would like to express our sincere gratitude to the staff of the Medical and Surgical ICU Unit for the excellent care he received.
The family invites you to sign an online book of condolences at: www.funerairepassagefuneral.ca.
