In Loving Memory Of
March 11, 2017

Yvon Collette, 84, of Dundas and formerly of Moncton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at home on Saturday, March 11th, 2017.

Born in Bouctouche, NB, he was the son of the late Neri and the late Lea (née: Lacenaire) Collette.

Prior to retirement, Yvon had worked for the City of Moncton. The love of family, followed closely by his passion for horses filled his life with pride. The sleigh and hay rides in Centennial Park during 25 plus years brought him much joy and the wealth of many new friends.

He is survived by his wife, Florence (née: Robichaud); four daughters: Alberte (Ronald) Melanson, Blanche (Maurice Cormier), Rose-Mai (Paul) Gaudet and Linda (Scott) Smith; one son-in-law, Alyre Allain; three sisters: Donalda (Antoine) Collette, Aldora (late Simon) Collette and Fernande (late Edgar) LeBlanc; four brothers: Dolland (Louise), Leopold, Jean-Eude (Laurise) and Claude (Maria Roy); one sister-in-law, Germaine Collette; 11 grandchildren: Chantal, Jason, Christine, Justine, Alisse, Isabelle, Joline, Jemm, Amber, Kris and Meaghan; four great grandchildren: Nikolas, Sophie, Janelle and Braelyn; many nieces and nephews; as well as his two special horses: Dan and Tom.

He was predeceased by one daughter, Denise in 2007; six sisters: Dora, Léa, Irène, Yvonne, Béatrice and baby Fernande and also by two brothers: Isaïe and Léo.

Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901) on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Friday from 9 am until time of departure.

 Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Saint-Lawrence O’Toole Roman Catholic Church, Irishtown, on Friday, March 17th, 2017 at 11 am, with Father Laurence Quin-Morris officiating.

Interment in Saint-Lawrence O’Toole Parish Cemetery, Irishtown.

Donations to the Canadian Red Cross or to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Entouré de sa famille, à la maison, le samedi 11 mars 2017, à l’âge de 84 ans, est décédé paisiblement, Yvon Collette, il demeurait à Dundas et autrefois de Moncton.

Né à Bouctouche, N.-B., il était le fils de feu Neri et de feu Lea (née Lacenaire) Collette.

Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Florence (née Robichaud); quatres filles: Alberte (Ronald) Melanson, Blanche (Maurice Cormier), Rose-Mai (Paul) Gaudet et Linda (Scott) Smith; un gendre, Alyre Allain; trois soeurs: Donalda (Antoine) Collette, Aldora (feu Simon) Collette et Fernande (feu Edgar) LeBlanc; quatres frères: Dolland (Louise), Leopold, Jean-Eude (Laurise) et Claude (Maria Roy); une belle-soeur, Germaine Collette; 11 petits-enfants: Chantal, Jason, Christine, Justine, Alisse, Isabelle, Joline, Jemm, Amber, Kris et Meaghan; quatres arrière petits-enfants: Nikolas, Sophie, Janelle et Braelyn; plusieurs neveux et nièces ainsi que ses deux chevaux: Dan et Tom.

Une fille, Denise en 2007; six soeurs: Dora, Léa, Irène, Yvonne, Béatrice et bébé Fernande ainsi que deux frères: Isaïe et Léo l’ont précédé dans la tombe.

Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, (857-1901), le jeudi de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h et le vendredi de 9h jusqu’au départ pour les funérailles.

La messe des funérailles aura lieu en l’église Saint-Lawrence O’Toole, Irishtown, le vendredi 17 mars 2017, à 11h.

L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial Saint-Lawrence O’Toole, Irishtown.

Un don à la Croix Rouge Canadienne ou à une œuvre de bienfaisance de votre choix serait apprécié par la famille.
