Bouctouche, NB – Yvon Cormier, 70, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, January 3, 2015, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Ste-Marie-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Olivier and Josephine (Collette) Cormier.
Yvon was proud of his wife, children & grandchildren and loved to spend time with his family and also enjoyed spending time at his camp, camping at Jardin Park in Richibouctou, riding his four wheeler and travelling.
Yvon will be sadly missed by his wife, Rita of 48 years; his son, Ricky (Sharon) of Cocagne; his daughter, Sharon Bastarache (Mario) of St-Antoine; his four grandchildren, Samuel, Maxime, Nicholas and Danika; his three brothers, Alvin (Claudine) of Bouctouche, Laurie (late Rose-Marie) of Dieppe and Aldérice (Eva-May) of Bouctouche; his two sisters, Aldéa Goguen (Jean-Victor) of St-Antoine and Dorice Dallaire (Vincent) of Ste-Marie; his two brothers-in-law, Léonard LeBlanc of Gardner, Mass, Philippe Cormier of Moncton; also by several aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Noëlla LeBlanc and Anita Cormier; two nieces, Anita Maillet and Joline Richard; one brother-in-law, Néri Belliveau;
Respecting Yvon’s wishes there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be held at the St-Jean-Baptiste RC Church in Bouctouche, on Wednesday, January 7 at 7 pm.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Lung Association, the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
