Moncton – Yvon Cormier, 84, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 1st, 2011 after a brief illness.
Born in Cap-Pelé on August 21st, 1926, he was the son of the late Olivier and Julienne (Bourque) Cormier.
Yvon will be sadly missed by his wife, Rosella Marie Melanson; his son, Marc of Moncton; his stepdaughter, Rachel Alderson of Moncton; two sisters, Marie Donelle (Joseph), Florine Fougère (Laurie) both of Cap-Pelé, also a grandchild, Jessica Alderson.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Bélonie, Gérard and Ovila; two sisters, Léontine and Rita.
Visitation will be held at Passage, 625 Mountain Rd. in Moncton on Wednesday, May 4th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday, May 5th at St. Louis de France RC Church in Lewisville at 11 am. No visitation on Thursday morning.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the
family.
