Shediac, NB – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Yvon Thibodeau, 86, on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Villa Providence in Shediac.
Born in Shediac, NB, was the son of the late Edmond and Lina Thibodeau (Vienneau).
Yvon will be sadly missed by his wife: Loretta Thibodeau (Hébert); his children: Donald (Lori) of Shediac, Gordon (Lori), Susan Thibodeau and Debbie Gallant (Holly) all of St. Albert, AB; his grandchildren: Jennifer, Matthew, David, Tristan, Michael, Ashley and Kenzi; his two great grandchildren: Dylan and Ellie; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Yvon was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by several brother and sisters.
As per request, there will be no visitation and no funeral. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila RC Cemetery in Cap-Pelé.

I wanted to send my deepest condolences to the Thibodeau family. I only met Mr.Thibodeau on a couple of occasions but he shared some great stories of his son Gordon. The one certainly stands out when he had his boy play net in the shootout let’s just say goaltending wasn’t in his future. You raised a terrific son and mentor for many. Please pass on our thoughts and prayers to Loretta, Gord, Lori and Twister.
