Yvon Vautour, 85, of Villa Providence, Shediac, NB and formerly of Cap-Pelé, passed away on Monday, February 13th, 2023, at his residence.
Born in Grande-Digue, NB, he was the son of the late Auguste and the late Marie (Arsenault) Vautour.
Prior to his retirement, Yvon worked at Paturel Fisheries for many years.
He is survived by his spouse, Cecile Cormier; his daughter, Pauline Vautour of Dieppe; his sons: David (Denise) of Portage, Marcel of Moncton and Gerald of Bas-Cap-Pelé; his grandchildren: Nathalie, Dale, Matthew, Jamie, Jérémie, Nathalie and Heather; his great grandson, Nicholas and several great grandchildren; his stepdaughter, Ginette Boudreau (Gilles) of Portage; his step-sons: Ronald Cormier (Nicole) of Cap-Pelé and Michel Cormier (Linda) of Trois-Ruisseaux; his step grandchildren: Jennifer and Stéphanie; his step great granddaughter, Brooklyn; his sisters: Alma Bourque (late Leonard) of Scoudouc, Anne-Marie LeBlanc (Orice) of Grande-Digue, Jeanne d’Arc LeBlanc of St-Antoine and Emelia Bourque (Edmond) of Grande-Digue, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by the mother of his children, Shirley; an infant son; his sisters: Marguerite, Rose and Germaine and by his brothers: Adrice, Alcide and Ulysse.
Visitation will be held from Ste-Thérèse d’Avila Funeral Salon, Cap-Pelé, NB, on Monday, February 20th, 2023 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Tuesday, February 21st, 2023 from 9 am to 10:15 am.
Funeral mass will be held from Ste-Thérèse d’Avila RC Church, Cap-Pelé, NB, on Tuesday, February 21st, 2023 at 10:30 am.
