Yvonne Poirier, 92, of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Manoir Saint-Jean-Baptiste, Bouctouche on Sunday November 17, 2019. She was married to the late Joseph Poirier (1987). Born in Rivière du Portage, she was the daughter of the late Pierre and the late Elizabeth (Haché) Légère.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Denise Jaillet (Edmond) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, her granddaughters; Monette, Ginette, Rachel and her great grandsons; Xavier, Milan, Zachary, Lucas and Noah. She also leaves to mourn her sisters; Cécile Légère (late Arthur), Anna Légère, both of Rivière du Portage, Marthe McGraw (Charlie) of Saint-John, Thérèse Gagnon (Mathias) of Sept-Isles, Quebec, one brother, Allard (Carmel) of Cocagne and several nieces and nephews.
Yvonne was predeceased by five sisters; Norma, Gertrude, Albertine, Emilia and Patricia.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame-du Mont-Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, on Tuesday November 19, 2019 from 7 to 9pm and on Wednesday from 2 to 3:45. The Funeral Mass will be held in the Notre-Dame du Mont-Carmel Church on Wednesday November 20, 2019 at 4:00pm.
In Yvonne’s memory a donation can be made to the Manoir Saint-Jean-Baptiste, Bouctouche.
