Yvonne Roy, 101, of Dieppe, passed away on March 13th, 2023 at the Villa du Repos in Moncton.
Born in Cap-Pelé, she was the daughter of the late Simon and he late Georgina Niles (Vautour).
Yvonne was a homemaker, she was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She had a passion for sewing, making quilts and knitting. Her favorite pastimes were Bingo and playing cards – Oh, how she liked playing cards…
She will be sadly missed by her children: Simonne (late Noël) Cormier, Peggy (Michel) Bourque, Betty (David) Killam, Maurice (Amie) Roy, Sandra (Bob) Wallace, and Eugene Roy.
Besides her children, she is survived by many grandchildren; several great grandchildren; her sister, Louisa Maillet; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Yvonne was predeceased by her husband, Médard; her daughters: Marie (at birth), and Elda; two grandchildren: Amber and Rhéal; four sisters: Edith, Emily, Doris, and Anita; seven brothers: Henry, Adolphe, Frank, Ovila, Ben, Edwin, and Valérie.
There will be no visitations.
The funeral service will be held at Passage-Chartersville (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe) on Monday, March 20th, 2023 at 11:00am in the chapel.
Donations in Yvonne’s memory can be made to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation (Oncology) or donors’ choice.
