Zoel LeBlanc, 95 of Villa Maria Saint-Louis and formerly of Bouctouche Bay passed away peacefully on Thursday May 13th, 2010 at the nursing home. He was married to the late Hélèna Babineau (2009). Born in Bouctouche on November 12th, 1914, he was the son of the late Callixte and the late Marguerite (Maillet) LeBlanc.
He will be sadly missed by his six children, Stella LeBlanc, Linda LeBlanc, Roger all of Moncton, Donald (Wendy) of Camberra, Australia, Rhéal of Saint John, Vincent of Bouctouche Bay and one daughter-in-law Christine Mercier of Saint John, his four grandchildren, Daniel, Serge, Mathieu, Joline and one great grandson Alexandre. He also leaves to mourn his brother Auguste (Rose) of Bouctouche Bay and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by six sisters, Henriette, Sara, Joséphine, Madeleine, Alice, Juliette and four brothers, Alyre, Albert, Alphée and Edoaurd.
Visitation will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche, on Wednesday May 19th, 2010 at 4:00 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
In Zoel’s memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L. Dumont Foundation “Alzheimer section”.
