Al was proud of his roots; born in Shediac, New Brunswick to Evariste and Eugenie Belliveau. He was a revered and respected older brother and great friend to Georgina Melanson, Camilla Belliveau, Ray Belliveau and by his adopted sister, Lorraine Goguen .
He was a compassionate father to Robert (Cathleen), Denise Kinnie (Mark), Pauline Vromans (Albert), Paulette Wallace (Chris), Adele (Jen), Roland, and Raymond (Karen) and a fun-loving ‘Grampy’ to Christian (Rebecca), Julia, Jessica (Logan), & Isaac Belliveau; Sarah (Corbin), Matthew (Melanie), Jennifer, & Lauren Kinnie; Katy, Andre, Nicholas (April), Maria, & Ineke Vromans; Brendan (Megan), Colin & Monica Wallace; Sienna Bull; Justin & Cassandra Belliveau. He is also survived by 11 great- grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and his extended family stretching from coast to coast. Al was rarely seen at a family gathering without one of his grandchildren or great-grandchildren nestled in his arms; he took great joy in attending their activities and sporting events as they grew.
Al served as a role model, generously devoting much of his ‘spare’ time to his church, his community and mentoring young people fortunate enough to have him as their baseball and hockey coach. He was on several local boards and active in the co-operative movement.
Al began his career with CN Telecommunications. His passion for hard work eventually led him to own and manage his own firm, Altron Electronics, a business he proudly nurtured for almost 20 years. He ended his career with Investors Group and took great satisfaction in helping others with their financial planning.
Al’s moral compass never waivered; he was passionate, loving and generous wherever and whenever it was needed. His smile and hugs will be missed by many.

Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road (corner West Lane), Moncton on Sunday, April 16th, 2017 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. There will be no visitation on Monday morning prior to the funeral mass. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Augustine’s RC Church, 340 Dominion Street, Moncton on Monday, April 17th, 2017 at 11:00am.
