Born in Grande-Digue, NB, he was the son of the late André and the late Alvina Bourgeois (nee Brun). Albert worked at the Moncton Hospital for 23 years. He enjoyed lobster fishing, which he did for many years. His passion was gardening; he planted a garden as recent as last summer.
Albert will be sadly missed by his wife, Jeanne Bourgeois (nee Doiron) of Grande-Digue; his two sons, Omer (Paul-Émile) of Grande-Digue, Ovila (Dianne) of Moncton; his two daughters, Andréa Breau (Jules) of Cocagne, Jeannette Chandler (Kirk) of Torbay, NL; his two sisters, Excède Caissie of Grande-Digue, Thérèse Boudreau of Boudreau Ouest; his sister-in-law, Flora Bourgeois of Toronto, ON; his six grandchildren, Yves, Serge, Marc, Daniel, Joël and Shawn; his six great grandchildren; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his two brothers, Gérald and David.
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 11:00am to 12:30pm. Funeral mass will be held at the La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital or to the CHU Dumont Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
