Moncton, NB – Albert Melanson, 87, passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, March 18, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Cocagne, NB, he was the son of the late Donat and Édorine (Landry) Melanson.
Albert will be missed by his wife, Noëlla (Albert) Melanson; his son, Ronald (Claudette) of Kitchener, ON; his daughter, Denise McEachern (Larry) of Drayton, ON; his two brothers, Robert “Bobby” (late Germaine) of Ste-Marie and Paul (Eileen) of St-Thomas; his four sisters, Laura Allain (late Alcide) of Moncton, Jeannine Daigle (late Joseph) of Dieppe, Léona Blandford (late Max) of Stayner, ON and Doris Goguen (late Ron) of Bouctouche; his four grandchildren, Lisa Melanson-Pomroy, Brendan McEachern, Darryl McEachern and Julie Witzel; his eleven great grandchildren; his three sisters-in-law, Sylvina of Cocagne, Georgina and Dorilla both of St-Antoine; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Zella Bourgeois (Edmond) and Anna Dupuis (Bill); his five brothers, Léandre, Léo, Joseph (Ernestine), John (Rita) and Éloi.

Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge, on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 10 am until time of funeral service at Passage Chapel at 11 am. Reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to CHU Dumont Foundation (Palliative care or Oncology) or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
