Alcide Arsenault, 76, of Dieppe, passed away on Friday, December 8th, 2006, at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital.
Born in Atholville, NB, he was the son of Eva (née: Arseneau) and the late André Arsenault.
He had retired as yard foreman from Lockharts, he was an avid fly fisherman and hunter, he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Club d’Age d’Or de Dieppe and a parishioner of Ste Thérèse Parish.
Besides his mother, Eva of St Antoine, he is survived by his wife Doris (née: LeBlanc); five daughters: Marg (Carl) Hebert of Quebec, QC, Louise (Richard) Mercier of Kingston, ON, Murielle (Dave) LeBlanc, Monique Arsenault and Diane (Bernie) Buotte, all three from Moncton; two sons: Maurice (Gilberte) of Moncton and Gerard (Lucille) of Toronto, ON; two sisters: Sr Rita, f.m.a. of St Antoine and Edna LeBlanc, of Moncton; one sister-in-law, Jeanne of St Antoine; 7 grandchildren: Michelle, Patrick, Kristine, Brian, Marc, Kevin and Jeremie as well as by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one brother, Alyre.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Monday, December 11th, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and also on Tuesday from 1 pm until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, on Tuesday, December 12th, 2006 at 2 pm.
Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
