Aldéo J. Richard, 61, of Moncton, formerly of Dieppe, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, May 23rd, 2005 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital.
Born in St. Norbert, NB, he was the son of Lydia (née: Boucher) and the late Hubert Richard.
Mr. Richard was a music enthusiast, he played the guitar and his passion was country and blue grass music, he had been employed by Cabano-Kingsway Transport and was a parishioner of Ste Thérèse Roman Catholic Church.
Beside his mother Lydia of Moncton; he is survived by one daughter, Diane (Chris) Darrach of Dieppe; one son, Charles of Moncton; his special friend, Agathe Vienneau of Moncton; his former wife Rita (née Legere) (Paul Gallant) of Dieppe; five sisters: Florence Caissie (Gerry Richard) of Notre Dame, Irene Richard, Fernande (Raymond) Lirette, both of Moncton, Hélène (Conrad) Richard of Dieppe and Denise Thibodeau (Rhéal Belliveau) of Scoudouc; one brother, Fernand (Janice) of NS; one brother-in-law, Rhéal Maillet of Bouctouche; four grandsons: Devon, Cole, Matt, and CJ as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his father, Mr. Richard was predeceased by three sisters: baby Marie, Simonne and Anise.
Visitation will be held from Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901 on Wednesday, May 25th, 2005 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Thursday from 10 am until time of departure
Funeral mass will be celebrated from the Ste Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, on Thursday, May 26th, 2005 at 11 am.
Donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation “Oncology” or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
