Alfred LeBlanc, 90, of Dieppe, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton on Monday, June 4th, 2018.
Born in Saint-Paul-de-Kent, NB on October 31st, 1927, he was the son of the late Joseph and the late Marie-Louise (née: Richard) LeBlanc.
Alfred was a hard worker; he worked as a lumberjack and a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Maria (née: Cormier); two sons: Charles (Anne) and Paul (Roberta); three grandchildren: Brian (Elizabeth), Cory and Heidi; two great grandchildren: Ethan and Benjamin; one brother, Leopaul (Antoinette); as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers: Francis, Emerie, Oscar and also by his sisters: Dorilla, Maria, Florence, Yvonne, Thérèse and Jeannine.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901) on Friday from 7 to 9 pm and also on Saturday from 9:30 am until time of service.
A Celebration of the Word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, June 9th, 2018 at 11 am.
Interment in Saint-Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe.
Donations to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
Au centre hospitalier universitaire Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont, le lundi 4 juin 2018, est décédé paisiblement, Alfred LeBlanc, à l’âge de 90 ans.
Né à Saint-Paul-de-Kent, le 31 octobre 1927, il était le fils de feu Joseph et de feu Marie-Louise (née Richard) LeBlanc.
Alfred a été un grand travaillant. Il a été bucheron, dès l’âge de 14 ans. Après son mariage, il est déménagé aux Étas-Unis où il y a travaillé pendant de nombreuses années comme camionneur. Vers la fin des années 70, il est revenu s’établir à Dieppe au Nouveau-Brunswick.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse de 68 ans, Maria (née Cormier); deux fils: Charles (Anne) et Paul (Roberta); trois petits-enfants: Brian (Elizabeth), Cory et Heidi; deux arrière petits-enfants: Ethan et Benjamin; un frère, Leopaul (Antoinette); ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Ses frères: Francis, Emerie, Oscar ainsi que ses sœurs: Dorilla, Maria, Florence, Yvonne, Thérèse et Jeannine l’ont précédé dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, (857-1901), le vendredi de 19h à 21h ainsi que le samedi de 9h30 jusqu’à l’heure des funérailles.
Une Célébration de la Parole aura lieu en la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Chartersville, le samedi 9 juin 2018 à 11h.
L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial Saint-Anselme, Dieppe.
