Grande-Digue, NB – Alphée LeBlanc, 91, passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, February 11, 2016, after a brief illness.
Born in Grande-Digue , NB, he was the son of the late Ferdinand and Marie (Melanson) LeBlanc.
Alphée will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 59 years, Anita; his two sons, Fernand (Yvette) of Grande-Digue and Denis LeBlanc (Tammy) of Moncton; his two daughters, Huberte Melanson (Roland) and Henriette LeBlanc both of Grande-Digue; his two brothers, Raymond (Maria) of Grande-Digue and Alvin (Andréa) of Cocagne; his two sisters, Eva Richard (late Léo) of Moncton and Dorina Bélanger (late René) of Sainte-Julie, QC; his four grandchildren, Martin, Christine, Justin and Patrick; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Philippe; four sisters, Angéline, Léona, Rita and Célia.
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. There will be no visitation on Monday morning. Funeral mass will be held at the La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 11 am. Reception will follow at Notre-Centre in Grande-Digue.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
