Angélina Arseneau
1939 – 2021
Angélina Arseneau, 81, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges – L. – Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, on Friday, September 24th, 2021.
Originally from ″Rivière-à-la-Truite″, and then, Tracadie, she moved to Moncton in 1965 with her mother, Alexina as well as several siblings.
Besides her difficult childhood related to her health, Angélina (also known as ″Nena″) pursuit her study and in her early 20s she started a long career in couture. She worked for two big enterprises at the time, which was ″Creaghan’s″, within the marriage dress department, and then to ″Galeries de l’Habit″. She then started her own business in partnership with two collegues in men dress clothings under the name of « Le Gentleman ». once retired, Angélina kept on helping doing volunteer for the Dr. Georges – L.- Dumont University Hospital Centre for more than 20 years. Also, she took pride in publishing her own Biography named ″Un long chemin vers la liberté″ to the Francophonie Edition.
Angélina will be remembered by her family, friends and colleagues as a hard-working, boundless and resilient.
Daughter of the late Alexina Gautreau and Médric J. Arseneau, Angélina is survived by six sisters, Patricia (late Clovis Doucet), Rose-Marie (Gaëtan Désilets), Anne-Marie (Camille LeBlanc), Margot (Audrey Renault), Colette (Léon Richard) and Claudine (Jim Sherren); three brothers, Aldoria, Theogène (Denise Arsenault) and Jean-Marc (Monique Richard); Two godchildren, Alain Robichaud and David Arseneau.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Alvine (late Apolinaire McLaughlin), Valérie (Gérard McGraw), Nicole (Gérard Mallet) and Danielle (infancy); as well as her brother, Alexis (Anne-Marie Arseneau (Cool).
The family would like to thank everyone who provided good care, especially the staff at La Villa-du-Repos in Moncton.
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel (625, Mountain road, Moncton) on Thursday, September 30th 2021, from 1pm until time of the Celebration of her life at the Chapel at 3pm.

Please note that proof of double vaccination and a government issued ID will be required at the entrance of the chapel as well as your face mask. This process will be mandatory to enter the facility.
