Born in Dupuis Corner, NB, he was the son of the late Daniel and the late Marie Landry (nee Gaudet).

Arthur was a member of the Golden Age Club of Cap-Pelé and was a Knights of Columbus, Council #9178 in Cap-Pelé and was a 4th Degree, Council #2793. He has also sat on the municipal council and participated in several other committees.

Arthur was the last surviving member of his immediate family, he will be sadly missed by his wife of 70 years, Maria Landry (nee Fougère); his six sons, Jean-Paul (Patsy) of Cap-Pelé, Marcel (Annette) of Dieppe, Rhéal, Omer (Diane), Régis (Karen), Daniel (Chantal) all of Cap-Pelé; his four daughters, Hélène Landry (Ann), Gisèle Gallant (Gordon), Lucie Landry (Elmer) and Mona all of Cap-Pelé; his fifteen grandchildren, Natalie, Renée, Michel, Chantale, Renelle, Venessa, Marc, Rémi, Jules, Reggie, Patrick, Christien, Jessie, Isabelle and Justin; his eighteen great grandchildren, Audrée, Sophie, Brendon, Justin, Jakob, Janie, Jérémie, Emilie, Spencer, Miguel, Kenzie, Maélie, Mia, Nadia, Jayden, Emanuel, Avery and Mathieu; also by several nieces and nephews and friends.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one infant son, Joseph; one daughter, Yvette; four brothers, Aldège (Stella), Edmond (Annie), Henri (Dora) and Oswald; four sisters, Edmée (Aimé), Anna (Lionel), Cécile (Lionel) and Élise.

Visitations will be held at Ste-Thérèse d’Avila slumber room in Cap-Pelé, on Friday, December 21, 2018, from 7 to 9 pm and on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 9 am to 10 am. Funeral service will be at Ste-Thérèse d’Avila RC Church in Cap-Pelé at 10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to “Boîte a Lunch, Cap-Pélé”, the parish cemetery or to a charity of your choice.
