Cocagne, NB – Arthur Surette, 84, passed away peacefully at the Villa Providence in Shediac, on Friday, September 19, 2014, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Cocagne, NB, he was the son of the late Albert and Alvina (Leger) Surette.

Arthur was an electrician, he worked for Acadia Electric for 38 years until his retirement. He was a dedicated husband and father to his children. We will forever remember his kindness.

Arthur will be sadly missed by his wife, Cécile; his three sons, Raymond (Lucie) of Cocagne, Philippe (Odette) of Shediac and André (Marielle) of Ste-Marie-de-Kent; his four daughters, Fernande Vienneau (Maurice) of Notre-Dame-de-Kent, Annette Surette (Donald Doiron) of Shediac Bridge, Charline Hébert (Daniel) of Cocagne and Carole Surette of Shediac River; his thirteen grandchildren, Karen, Lisa, Melissa, Lynn, Rémi, Jason, Kevin, Jérémie, Ghislain, Jenny, Gabriel, Josée and Mathieu; his two great grandsons, Alexi and Xavier; also by several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Oscar; one adopted sister, Dorice.

Visitations will be at the St-Pierre-de-Cocagne RC Church slumber room in Cocagne on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 2:30 to 4:30 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 1 pm until time of funeral at 2 pm. Reception to follow.

Donations to the St-Pierre-de-Cocagne Parish, Alzheimer’s Society or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
