Augustin « Gus » Gallant

Born in Mont-Carmel, PEI, he was the son of the late Arthur and the late Rosella Gallant (nee Arsenault).

Augustin will be missed by his wife, Thérèse Gallant (nee Léger) of Dieppe; by his daughter, Suzanne Gautreau (Jerry) of Dieppe; by his two sons, Pierre (Mona) of Cocagne and Fernand (Ann) of Kitchener, ON; by his brother, Alphée Goguen (Élise) of Dieppe; by his brother-in-law, Charlie Richard of Dieppe; by his six grandchildren, Lynne Cook (John), David Gallant (Danielle), Julie Gallant (Gilles), René Gautreau (Julie), Sylvie Gautreau (Ben) and Tina Gautreau (Matt); by his four great grandchildren, Émilie, Ashley, Zoé and Cédric; Augustin is also survived by several relative from PEI and by nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Jocelyne Bourque (late Vincent); by his three sisters, Béatrice Gallant, Thérèse Emond and Antoinette Richard; by his two brothers, Joe and Jean.

Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road, Moncton (corner West Lane) on Sunday, November 20th, 2016 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and on Monday, November 21st, 2016 from 9:00am to 10:15am. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Sainte-Thérèse de l’Enfant Jésus RC Church, 160 Ste-Thérèse Street, Dieppe on Monday, November 21st, 2016 at 11:00am.

Donations to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Palliative Care Unit) would be appreciated by the family.
