Our beautiful sister and mother, Barb, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 24, 2018.
Born on May 5, 1943 in Toronto, ON, Barb was the daughter of the late Alfred and Mildred (Bourgeois) Burke of River Hebert, NS.
She will be deeply missed by her two sons, Todd (Jeannette) and David (Tina), her brother Fred (Lynn) MacQueen, her sisters, Marie (late Jim) Patterson, Yvonne (Jeffrey) Fenwick and Diane (Ralph) Lewis and her infant brother, Francis, as well as, her special grandchildren, Stephanie (Spencer) and Craig (Rachel) and their children, her many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Michael and Joe, and infant grandson, Christopher Michael.
Barb retired in January 2005 after many years at Indian Affairs, Amherst, NS. She will always be remembered for her warm heart, beautiful smile and how hard she worked at any task she took on.
A memorial service to celebrate and honour her life will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, New Brunswick, at 11 am. Reception to follow.
The family will be at the Funeral Home from 10 am.
