Bernadette Blanchard, 86, of Résidence Bellevue, Dieppe and formerly of Lakeburn passed away on Friday, April 8th, 2011, at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Center.
Born in Charlottetown, PEI, she was the daughter of the late James and the late Rose (née: Peters) Lawlor.
She loved hockey and was the #1 fan of the Moncton Wildcats, she also enjoyed darts and bowling. Mrs. Blanchard was a member of Our Lady of Loretto Parish.
She is survived by three daughters: Carol of Moncton, Claudia (Glen) Fisher of Truro, NS and Sharon (Andy) VanDentemple of Sebringville, ON; two sons: Wayne (Trixie) of Ville St-Pierre, QC and Barry (Rose) of Shediac; one daughter-in-law, Line (late Brian) of Dieppe; seven grandchildren; one step grandchild; seven great grandchildren; one step great granddaughter as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward "Ed" in 1975; two sons: Paul and Brian; two sisters: Priscilla and Hilda and three brothers: Richard, James and Edward.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Tuesday from 9 am until time of departure.
Funeral mass will be celebrated from Our Lady of Loretto Roman Catholic Church, Lakeburn, NB on Tuesday, April 12th, 2011, at 10:30 am.
Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
Donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
À l’Hôpital Universitaire Dr-Georges-L-Dumont de Moncton, le vendredi 8 avril, 2011, à l’âge de 86 ans, est décédée Bernadette Blanchard. Elle demeurait à la Résidence Bellevue à Dieppe, autrefois de Lakeburn.
Née à Charlottetown, I.-P.-E, elle était fille de feu James et de feu Rose
(née: Peters) Lawlor.
Mme Blanchard aimait le hockey, elle était la partisante #1 des Wildcats de Moncton, elle adorait de jouer aux fléchettes et aux quilles. Elle était membre de la paroisse Our Lady of Loretto.
Elle laisse dans le deuil trois filles: Carol de Moncton, Claudia (Glen) Fisher de Truro, N.-E. et Sharon (Andy) VanDentemple de Sebringville, ON; deux fils: Wayne (Trixie) de Ville St-Pierre, QC et Barry (Rose) de Shediac; une belle-fille, Line (feu Brian) de Dieppe; sept petits-enfants; un beau petit-enfant; sept arrière petits-enfants; une belle arrière petite-fille ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Son époux, Edward “Ed” en 1975; deux fils: Paul et Brian; deux soeurs: Priscilla et Hilda ainsi que trois frères: Richard, James et Edward l’ont précédée dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B., (857-1901) le lundi de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h ainsi que le mardi de 9h jusqu’au départ pour les funérailles.
Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Our Lady of Loretto, Lakeburn, N.-B., le mardi 12 avril, 2011, à 10h30.
L’inhumation se fera au cimetière Our Lady of Calvary, Dieppe, N.-B.
