At the CHU Dr-Georges-L-Dumont, on Tuesday August 9, 2021, Camille Joseph Cormier of Dieppe passed away at the age of 75. Born in Saint-Antoine-de-Kent on June 5, 1946, he was the son of the late Octave and Marie (Richard) Cormier.
An avid traveler, he traveled the world as a member of the Neil-Michaud choir. With his wife Aline, he explored Canada and Europe. He was particularly proud of his expedition to Nepal and his trekking in the Himalayas. An outstanding wood craftsman, Camille had the gift of making unique pieces and was proud to give them to his family and friends.
Despite his illness in recent years, Camille kept his positive outlook on life. Bon vivant, he would hum songs from a very large repertoire. His smile was contagious. He also sang with the Saint-Anselme church choir.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 49 years, Aline (Dupuis), his three children: Julie (Stephen Barker) of Orleans, Ontario, Stéphane (Angela Coombs) of Orleans, Ontario and Monik (Michel Theriault) of Dieppe: his grandchildren, Miriam and Ian Barker and Noah Theriault; his brother Jean-Claude Cormier (Gisèle Léger); his sister, Bernice (Conrad) Marcoux; his half brother Clarence Richard (Lise Robichaud) his three brothers-in-law Alonzo Dupuis (late Jacqueline Poirier) of Shippagan, Rhéal Dupuis (Hélène) of Dieppe and Edouard Dupuis (Majella Leger) of Grand Barachois as well as many nieces and nephews
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers François and Rhéal as well as two sisters-in-law Juliette and Béatrice, a brother-in-law Omer Dupuis and recently of his beloved mother-in-law, Ella Dupuis( June 19th 2021).
Visitation will be held at the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901), on Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm.
The funeral mass will be held at Saint-Anselme RC Church, Dieppe, on Wednesday, August 18th, 2021 at 11 am.
Interment will take place in the parish cemetery.

Au CHU Dr-Georges-L-Dumont, le mardi 9 août 2021, est décédé à l’âge de 75 ans, Camille Joseph Cormier de Dieppe N.-B. Né à Saint-Antoine-de-Kent, le 5 juin 1946, il était le fils de feu Octave et feue Marie (Richard) Cormier.
Avide voyageur, il a parcouru le monde comme membre de la chorale Neil-Michaud. Avec son épouse Aline, il a traversé le Canada et l’Europe. Il était particulièrement fier de son expédition au Népal et de son trekking dans les Himalayas. Bricoleur hors pair, Camille avait le don de confectionner des pièces uniques et était fier de les remettre à sa famille et amis.
Malgré la maladie accablante des dernières années, Camille gardait son caractère positif et chaleureux. Bon vivant, il fredonnait des chansons parmi un très grand répertoire. Son sourire était contagieux. Camille était membre de la chorale de l’église Saint-Anselme.
Il manquera beaucoup à son épouse depuis 49 ans, Aline (Dupuis), ses trois enfants: Julie (Stephen Barker) d’Orléans, Ontario, Stéphane (Angela Coombs) d’Orléans, Ontario et Monik (Michel Thériault) de Dieppe; ses petits-enfants: Miriam et Ian Barker et Noah Theriault; son frère Jean-Claude Cormier (Gisèle Léger); sa sœur, Bernice (Conrad) Marcoux; son demi-frère Clarence Richard (Lise Robichaud); ses trois beaux-frères Alonzo Dupuis (feue Jacqueline Poirier) de Shippagan, Rhéal Dupuis (Hélène) de Dieppe et Edouard Dupuis (Majella Léger) de Grand Barachois; ainsi que de nombreux neveux et nièces.
Outre ses parents, il fut précédé dans la tombe par deux frères François et Rhéal ainsi que deux belles sœurs Juliette et Béatrice, un beau-frère Omer Dupuis et tout récemment de sa belle-mère qu’il aimait tant, Ella Dupuis (le 19 juin 2021).
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison Funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe (857-1901), le mardi de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h.
Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Anselme, le mercredi 18 août 2021 à 11h.
L’inhumation aura lieu au cimetière paroissial.
Un don à la Fondation CHU Dumont (Unité Cardiaque) serait apprécié.
