Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Raymond and the late Exélia Cormier (nee Poirier).
Claude will be missed by wife, Gloria Cormier (nee Babineau) of Cocagne; by his three sons, Michel (Charline Arsenault), Roland (Tammy) all of Shediac River and Daniel (Marise Bourgeois) of Grande-Digue; by his three step-children, Suzanne Hogan (Tim Ellis) of Shediac, Rodney LeBlanc of Moncton and Lisa Landry (Donald) of Dieppe; by his two sisters, Roberta Cormier (late Michael Nasswetter) of Montreal, QC and Claudette Cormier of Moncton; by his brother, Bertin (Gloria) of Bourgeois Office; by his nine grandchildren, Mélanie, Christian, Joey, Noah, Jessey, Mathieu, Catherine, Adam and Justin; also by several nieces and nephews.
As per Claude`s wishes, there was no public visitation at the funeral home and a private family Mass was held at Saint-Pierre de Cocagne RC Church, Cocagne on Thursday, December 22nd, 2016.
Besides his parents, Claude was predeceased by his first wife, Hélèna Cormier (nee Albert) in 1986.
