St-Anselme – Claudette Doucet, 71, passed away peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, January 16, 2012, after a short illness.
Born in Beresford, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Rosalie (Boudreau) Aubé.
In her life, Claudette was a nurse at the Moncton City Hospital and aid-librarian at the “Université de Droit” library at the “Université de Moncton”. She was appreciated by the students who knew her. She had a great circle of friends who loved life and enjoyed spending precious moments together. In 1999, she was a member of the Canadian Modern Gymnastic and presented a show in Göteborg, Sweden. Claudette had a wonderful life full of love and joy.
Claudette will be sadly missed by her husband, George; two daughters, Lise (David) of Moncton, Charline (Norbert) of Dieppe; two sons, Daniel (Cindy) of Memramcook and Marc (Kim) of Dartmouth, NS; twelve grandchildren; Mathieu, Dominique, Danielle, Julien, Celeste, Adele, Marie-Pier, Véronique, Alexandre, Claudie, Nicolas and Antoni; one great grandchild, Nigel; three brothers, Léo, John and Maurice; three sisters, Jeannine, Evangeline and Opal; also several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by one sister, Colette and one brother, Paul Émile.
Visitations will be at Passage, 625 Mountain Rd, Moncton on Wednesday, January 18 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Thursday, January 19 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Funeral service will be held at the St-Anselme RC Church on Thursday, January 19 at 2 pm.
Donations to the Parkinson Society Canada or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
