Cletus Richard, 86, of Dieppe, passed away on Wednesday, March 14th, 2007, at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Saint-Norbert, NB, he was the son of the late Francois and the late Marguerite (née: Maillet) Richard.
He was a retired drywall finisher, a WW II veteran having served in the army, a member Dieppe Veterans and Legion Branch # 6 and a parishioner of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Roman Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Emelie (née: Arsenault); two daughters: Raymonde (Gerald) Dupuis of Oshawa, ON and Nicole (Larry) Dutcher of Meadow Brook; three sons: Maurice and Ivan, both of Dieppe and Dennis (Jacqueline) of Moncton; 6 grandchildren: Rachel, Lynn, Renée, Aaron, Stéphane and Maryse; four great grandchildren: Catherine, Madeleine, Laura and Elise as well as by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one son, Ernest; one sister, Denise; six brothers: Dollard, Gerard, Damien, Jean-Noël, Benoit and Frank.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Friday, March 16th, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and also on Saturday from 8 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Roman Catholic Church(Lakeburn), on Saturday, March 17th, 2007 at 9 am.
Interment in Saint-Norbert Parish Cemetery, Saint-Norbert, NB.
A veterans service will be held on Friday at 3: 45pm
